When you experience consistent and illogical fear on specific events and things and the dread has reached the point when it has become crazy, what you are being the subject of might be characterized as what is known as fear. Fears can also be labeled as deep and passionate fear on an object or a situation that truly poses terribly minimal danger at all. Fear is in actuality fear that has gone beyond the ordinary level. If an individual has fear of heights, he may refrain from traveling via the aeroplane which would either lengthen his travel time and in the process waste time and potentially a great number of other opportunities or he may simply desist from traveling that requires commuting via the plane. For individuals who are subjected to claustrophobia, it may force them to turn down a good job offer if it entails the riding of the elevator up to the topmost floors of a building.

Here are a couple of the most common fears and their meanings the first of which is arachnophobia which makes reference to the fear of spiders. Time after time, spiders have been pictured in flicks as malicious and damaging creatures and this portrayal has spurned the imagination of many leading the final fear of these eight-legged creatures.

One of the most common fear is the dread of heights or acrophobia and is identified by the sensation of woozy spells and nausea each time the person afflicted finds himself in high places such as the top of a building or on the fringe of a cliff. This fear has actually transformed the lives of many people and have left many unable to experience some of the most stirring experiences in life eg the exciting rides in theme parks, the riding of airplanes, rock climbing, sky diving, parachuting, and other adrenalin kicking activities.

Social fear refers to the fear of being in the middle of social circumstances like gala nights and parties. Folk that suffer from phobias have gained the belief that they are continually being judged and scrutinized by the people around them.
