GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., April 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --?Until December, 2011, UNC Health Care System relied upon a legacy Human Resources system that was not designed for the healthcare industry. And this mismatch created problems that necessitated awkward, albeit creative, workarounds. But now, thanks to CIBER partnering with UNC to implement the Lawson Human Capital Management (HCM) solution, they are responsive and agile, especially in terms of reporting and employee issues.

Beginning in July 2010, CIBER and UNC implemented the HCM solution which enabled UNC to run a consolidated Lawson ERP system for Finance, Procurement, and Human Resources as one integrated solution. With this implementation, UNC created standardized HR and payroll processes, as well as automated critical business processes. One such workflow provides real-time manager and nurse notifications about significant events, such as dependents aging out and employee license expirations, all important information considering the 8,000 employees currently in UNC's system.
"UNC Health Care has enjoyed a successful partnership with CIBER in our recent Lawson HR/Payroll installation," said Bill Rotella, Vice President of Human Resources for UNC. "CIBER's assistance has made this 18-month journey a productive and successful one."
CIBER's expertise with Lawson spans nearly 20 years as one of its largest partners.
