Advertisement for position of ?Junior Research Fellow (JRF)? on research project funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India

Applications are invited on plain paper from eligible candidates along with bio-data and copies of certificates in support of age, qualification and experience for post of Junior Research Fellow (one post) on DST project entitled ?Studies on protection of DNA from oxidative damage by chito-oligosaccharides biologically extracted from seafood waste? for three years from the commencement of the project.

Eligibility

Essential: First class M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology with CSIR-NET qualification (those who have qualified for NET Lecturership may also apply) or 1st class M.Tech. in Biotechnology with GATE.

Desirable: Working experience in molecular biology.

Monthly emoluments: Rs 16,000 + HRA (as applicable) for first 2 years and Rs 18,000 + HRA (as applicable) for the third year.

For NET-Lecturership candidate Rs 12,000 + HRA (as applicable) for first 2 years and Rs 14,000 + HRA (as applicable) for the third year.

Maximum age limit: 28 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/female candidates.

The last date for submission of prescribed application is 15 October 2012.
